and many other Bush policies have been frozen or reversed almost immediately, including a halt to torture, an end to 'black' prisons, a change in ethics and lobbying rules, and a limit on White House salaries.

Some people are actually complaining that it is being closed within a year and not immediately! Don't they realize that we need to figure out the status of these people, where they belong, what to do with them? we can't just open the gates and say, "buh bye!"

Yeah, for all that there have been horrible mistakes, most of the folks who are there at this point are actual terrorists. They shouldn't be kept in total limbo wholly outside the law, but most of them shouldn't be let go either.

Now, what to do about Bagram? That's the next question...
