If you're not already a regular reader of The Slow Road, you may want to pop by and see what my favourite world travellers have been up to. They're off in Mexico now, learning all about the Yucatan Peninsula, seeing lots of wee fishes, not-so-wee markets and festivals, and *&^%$ing huge pyramids (with apologies to Mike Myers). Good dope on food, plants, ruins, and a mini-rant (unsigned) about tourists. :-) Good stuff!

You would have loved today: we took a boat trip through mangrove wetlands and lagoons amd saw tons of birds. The only one we got a picture of was a pelican, cause he was sitting still; the rest fly much too fast. I´m going to do a birding post sometime soon on the Web site. There are so many beautiful ones around here.
