I heard an unmistakable trickling sound. From the bathroom. There's no one here.

I got up and went in.

Nicholas was standing on the edge of the toilet. Which was open. (I almost never leave it open.)

Our cats are obsessed with the bathroom, its most disconcerting having three of them watching you do your business - I think they are intrigued as to where the sh*t goes! Ours have been known to turn on the taps...
