Current plans are for another visit to Scotland in January or February. See friends, do some touring in places I haven't been to yet.

Still want to move, but worried about the economic climate. And a bit stressed by all that's been going on in my life. If I go ahead, it will probably be early summer. *gulp* Guess I need to pull out the planning charts again and start looking at the "six months out, make sure you have..." section.

For once in the 3-4 years since I conceived this mad plan, yes, it is! Of course, once I'm there and earning in ££, it will be bad for me too, if I want o come home for a visit. :-)

Got to get flying early enough that the kitties are allowed in the hold (temperature restrictions). But I'm not sure Busby has had the shots he needs, so even if he gets them this month, he couldn't travel until June.

I'm making a number of different plans for the trip, but if there's any interest, we can try and stage a Jan's Odd Gaggle of Friend in Auld Reekie meet-up.

As far as moving goes, I've gone through all the paperwork and actually had a Letter of Transit signed by General de Gaulle Highly Skilled Migrant Programme letter once already. With my Excellent Man of Business in Drymen, I'm confident I can jump through the requisite immigration hoops--really, it's only finding the patience to deal with all of it that's the issue! :-)

They've changed the rules so many times with the work permit stuff. I wish they didn't make things so difficult for us to immigrate - the USA and the UK are pals and all ... geez!
