random update

I'm having a very quiet Saturday. The cable was out again, so I got another man in. I think he eventually fixed it, but that ate up most of the morning and into the afternoon. I got some more figures sorted and cleaned up ready for priming. I'll do that now, then maybe take a nap; I was out playing Wings of War with some friends (*sigh* another game I'm going to get sucked into, I can see...), got home late, then stayed up to all hours writing email and watching the end of Bablyon 5 season 3. Plus it's a very nap sort of day--cold and grey. Tonight I need to do some laundry, maybe watch a movie.

Speaking of movies, I just watched, totally at random, "In the Land of Women", which I really liked. Like Catch and Release", which I think I commented on here a little while back (I quite liked it), it is at its best in the small portraits of people, the moments of conversation and emotion and understanding between two people, the character studies on individuals.

Either tonight or tomorrow I'm going to spend some time sorting out the workroom--I really need to get a lot of stuff sorted out or thrown away/recycled. And I'd like to get out and do some cycling this weekend!

First though, that nap is calling. Just as soon as I prime these figures...

Let's play that one Boys night. I seem to remember enjoying that the first time we played.

Sounds good. I found it was better (a) with multiple players, (b) in a larger space than my kitchen table, (c) when the surface playing it on is not slick, because that makes it hard to pick up the cards *and* (ironically) to keep them from sliding around.
