Have I Got News For You webisodes

Not the real thing, but a taster for those of us who don't get BBC broadcasts.

Of course, since it would be cruel to actually show us how funny and entertaining they are, instead, they've hoicked together the various off-cuts and ruibbish jokes and stuck an end and a beginning on them.

But they're still pretty amusing. Anything with Tom Baker making fun of himself is bound to be amusing. :-)

I'll trade you British HIGNFY episodes for the full Daily Show episodes! (Admittedly, I don't know what they do to them to make them the 'international' version.)

Actually, I think the full episodes are available here. The only difference is that you get commercials for Rhapsody instead of power tools. :-)

Interesting almost random fact: Elizabeth Banks, who I have great lust for and who appears in Paul Ruud's new movie (Paul Rudd is the guest on Thursday's TDS, which I just watched via that link, which is the one thing that keeps this aside from being totally random) is from Pittsfield, MA. (Pittsfield is the next town to the one where I went to college, and redactrice worked on the Pittsfield newspaper the summer we started dating, so I have fond memories of Pittsfield.)

We don't get the full episodes on More 4? (I know the Monday 'world edition' is a montage of the whole previous week, but I thought the Tuesday-Friday shows were the real deal.)

I don't know - I just remember them saying 'international edition' somewhere and assuming they'd been edited in some way. But I could be wrong!

I'm not sure myself. I know that the one aired Sundays (I think) on CNN is the same as what's on More 4 on Monday nights -- it's the 'global edition' or something like that, and it's a 'best of' the previous week. But I thought that Tuesdays-Fridays we received the actual US shows aired the previous night in the US, sans their advertising. :) (Can you tell that I watch it most nights? :)

The Tom Baker episode was particularly funny. Did you catch any of the Brian Blessed one last series? They should work together. ;)

BB made an appearance on Family Guy, reprising his role as King of the Hawkmen from Flash Gordon. It was a hoot. :-)
