Andrew Sullivan on McCain's resignations of integrity.

I really couldn't say it better myself; Mr Sullivan says all the things I have been thinking these last four years.

Yep.

It was pretty clear @ the last election that while he talked a great game at times, when the GOP actually cared, he always toed the party line in a big damn hurry.

If he *does* get elected, the only hope I have is that *maybe* he does believe some of that and once elected he'll stop caring what they have to say because they won't have the carrot to dangle in front of him anymore.

But I'd really rather not have to take that gamble.
