The process is a goat rope (I've yet to work in any organisation where the process of conducting performance reviews wasn't a huge hassle). Employees ahve to fill out all sorts of forms, do somethings on line and other things on paper, send them all off to management, and then wait, and wait, and wait...

But the result was very gratifying. Lots of kinds words from my former program manager and division manager, a promotion (not anything substantive, since it's not directly tied to my job duties or salary or benefits, but still a nice symbol), and a pay rise. The rise is awfully nice of them, but for once the praise is even nicer. The last year on my old contract was not at all easy, and there were times that I wanted to bring in a wand and turn a whole lot of people (higher up the chain of command and not in our organisation, but making decisions that effected it) into frogs. So it's nice that my bosses felt that I handled things so well and was such a credit to the team. One part of my life, at least, where I'm not a screw-up. :-)

*laughs* Some people just have no taste in television. :-) But you know, if she put that on her resume, she could probably get a job at Fox. ;-)

Well done. I suspect mine this year will be much the same but we are having the one to one on 1st April. Someone's gonna come out a fool!

Oh, congratulations! Always nice when one's hard work is actually noticed and appreciated, eh? ^_^
