Holy shit.

I love how he avoided the whole waterboarding thing by using the "law" mantra. So, Mr. President, what you're saying in essence is that America's moral high ground is LAW -- oh, and by the way, torture should be (or already is!) legal. Fucktard. His little bullshit dance reminds me about what he said after vetoing a bipartisan law to give health insurance to millions of Americans, mostly children: "'Poor kids first,' Bush said. 'Secondly, I believe in private medicine, not the federal government running the health care system.'" And that crap about China...

His logic circuits, feeble as they've always been, are finally, totally fused.

Yeah, his answer to "Isn't waterboarding illegal?" is to say "Well, it *should* be legal, because we need to use it." Never mind that we have always treated it as a crime when it is done to our citizens, or the fact that the FBI and the US armed forces have ALWAYS maintained that information received through torture is suspect at best and usually valueless. And that both have demonstrated they can get *valuable*, *actionable* information from suspects/prisoners through positive interrogation techniques. He loves to say that we shouldn't tell our enemies what to expect; but if we say there is nothing so vile we won't resort to it if we are frightened enough, we tell the whole WORLD (enemies, friends, and those who are neither) that we have no real moral principles. And isn't that, int he end, how we beat people like the terrorists? By showing that our way is better?
