a few quick notes

Last weekend was very exciting! Neta and I picked out our wedding rings, after much deliberation. Mine is a two-tone white and yellow gold in a rather spare abstract pattern. Hers is a white gold ring worked in a pattern that goes well with her engagement ring. Mine is on order; hers we pick up tonight! We also finished our itinerary for the honeymoon and made the last reservations we needed.

The first week at my new job has gone well. Our group chief introduced me to people from another group as an "expert" in MS Access--gulp! I'd better be studying up... I've got a draft of my first project put together today, but there's a lot to do to flesh it out. Fortunately, everyone will be out all next week, which will give me time to get it prettied up.

This is crunch week for Neta--exams, exams, exams. I have an exam and a paper due in the next week and a half for my one class. Gug--I always hate this part, rushing to get things done. I think all my shopping is done, but some people aren't getting presents until after Xmas.

It's all very confused just now with the holidays and class stuff and work stuff. redactrice and shy_kat came over Wednesday and spent the evening playing a game with me and gr_c17 while N studied. Only at the last did I realise this was the last time I would see C&M in the US and probably the last game we would play together for a long time. :-(
