Lieberman, give it up

There's no Joe-mentum. There's precious little Joe Constituency (outside the shreds of the moderate wing of the Republican Party). I'd love to see a Jew elected president, but it's not going to be you. You're trying to out-Bush Bush, and he pretty much has a lock on the Bushness. About the last thing people want, speaking as a Jew with Connecticut roots, is a moderate-to-conservative New Orthodox Jew from CT in the White House. You're a tool of corporate drugs, and with the fight over health care we have ahead of us in this country, the last thing that Democrats really need in the White House is a corprate stooge.
I believe you're a mensch. I believe you're an honest, decent, religious man. But stop trying to convince us you're a Democrat, because you aren't.
Lieberman, whose campaign was buffeted by rumors that he would drop out, strongly refuted those suggestions Tuesday night.
"I'm not dropping out because there's a virtual split decision for third and no one thought that I would have ended up this close to Wes Clark and John Edwards," he told CNN.
