CNN breathlessly enthuses at great length, with no skepticism whatsover.

The BBC, very curtly, says "Gordon Holmes, from Yorkshire, shot this footage of a creature swimming in Loch Ness, but experts said it was probably a seal or an otter."

The Scotsman doesn't even mention it.

But they do have this insight on the role of boardgaming in the current administration.

Potter's Field (as in 'It's A Wonderful Life'?)

Been years since I saw the movie all the way thru, so I wasn't entirely sure.
I was going to say "oops, I remembered the name wrong". When I google Pottersville and Potter's Field it shows either way, but when I google the script of the movie I see the name was Pottersville.

Funny, when I Google Potter's Field I find copies of the script using that. After all, the point was to play on the old tradition of calling the burial ground for the poor and homeless a "potter's field" (presumably because we're all made of and return to the clay, as used by potters...)

Oh, I dunno - implying that the outgoing First Minister was a clarty minger by telling the papers how he (Salmond) and his wife had to "scrub the floors (of Bute House) on hands and knees" and "burn scented candles and incense" probably won't have made him any friends in the Labour party! :-)
