I saw the news section he's talking about. I'm always amazed at the level of depravity we as a society will sink to. I think what was so heartbreaking to watch is that people who supposedly loved her did this to her.

I was just reading an article the other day about how the suicide rate for young women in Turkey is rising. The government is really cracking down now on people who murder women in their own family for various indecent behaviours like flirting. So instead, the families put pressure on the women to do the honourable thing and kill themselves.
/sigh/ Between this and wateching "Water" this weekend, I'm struggling hard not to get to down on men. I have to remember that I know some very kind and cool ones!
I think one of the more difficult things we'll face when vagabonding is dealing with very different moral ideas, esp. treatment of women and animals.
