another nice evening

Neta came over for dinner last night. I made pasta, and we both made a salad, ate dinner and drank a few glasses of wine, and talked and talked. The cats appeared to like her (Finn came and sat on her at one point) and she appeared to like them. :-) Wonderful to date someone who is already well adjusted to the presence of cat hair. (Though I recall redactice greeting the suggestion of cats with "But won't their *hair* get everywhere?" and now look at her--two cats and two foster kittens!)

We're going to meet up tonight for dinner, and I'm going to bring along a few boardgames for her to try (Odin's Ravens, Castle, and Fijords). We're making plans for the weekend. Next week she doesn't have her evening classes, so we'll have a few more evenings than we would normally. She's going to sit with me and Justin at the DC-Chivas match on Thursday.

We're both pretty seriously smitten, I'd say. It's lovely. :-)

Oh, I think that might be a little much all at once. :-) Besides, I think she said her co-ed soccer season starts up that weekend. But I will double-check.

You know, I should just not be so quick to assume. She said she thought that might be interesting, if we didn't mind her joining in on our expedition. :-)

She's very much into running, and it's one thing that she likes to do by herself as both exercise and stress relief. So I'm figuring that Rupert and I will still have plenty of 1:1 time. He's liking his new trainer, and I'm finding that it's good exercise, as I spend half an hour or so continuously pedalling, instead of stopping and starting as I would if I did half an hour riding outside.

Not that I won't be glad when the outside is a viable option again...
