Glasgow trip
Feb. 21st, 2007 10:14 pmAirplane booking confirmed :-) I was hoping that I could try Icelandair this time, as I've heard lots good about it, but in the end it was a BA flight (well, a pair of flights each way) that worked best in combining timing and price. I get to fly in through London, which means I can play my favourite game of 'spot the football ground'.
And DC United is winning the away leg of their Champions Cup tie!

Date: 2007-02-22 03:58 pm (UTC)Several of my friends have flown Icelandair to the UK and also to Germany this summer for the WC and had horrible experiences. Delayed flights from Rejkavik when everything in the airport was closed so no meals or extra books or anything. And some crappy onboard service.
Having said that however, I still want to fly them some day, preferably with a day layover so I could see the place! I'd just make sure to bring snacks...

Date: 2007-02-22 06:49 pm (UTC)In all honesty, though, I can't say I'm too much bothered by the airlines I fly with ... they all seem reasonable enough (even the Mr. McCheapityCheap flights are getting much much much better). I never minded going to through England, though I don't think I ever went through London.
Yay for going home ... er, back to Scotland! I'm soooo jealous :)
