awful tragedy

A woman who killed her two sons and injured a third said she refused anti-psychotic medication after her arrest -- until her oldest son failed to rise from the dead on his ninth birthday as she'd expected.

How horribbly, horribly sad.

"I didn't want to kill my kids at all. I felt I like I had no choice," she said in the transcript. "Because God told me to do that, and I was taught you obey God."

Well, there's your first problem right there. Shades of Abraham...

This sort of thing is why people need to be taught to reason for themselves rather than obey anything or anyone blindly. Would anyone *sane* ask you to kill your children? If a god wants anything that is connected to me dead, s/he will have to kill him/herself because I would need a rational reason why I should.

I hope this woman gets some serious therapy, both chemical and with a psych. This woman is going to be in horrible pain once they get her on her meds, tho. Poor kids, poor mother. *deep sigh*
