Thanks to snolan for posting a link to this story. Makes me furious! Props to the commentor who disagreed witht he message but agreed that the sign should have been left alone; you would hope that would be anybody's reaction, but sadly there are plenty of Americans who don't believe in American values like free speech, respect for and toleration of others, and an open marketplace of ideas.

Same mentality as whoever it was at Tysons Corner mall who ripped the Darwin fish off my car, snapped it in half, and stuck the pieces under the windshield wiper.

Gah - that's even worse than simply stealing them off sutragirl's car, she'll never know if it was hate (theif didn't like the message), greed (theif wanted darwin-fish for their own car), or fate (magnetic backed darwin-fish fell off?)... but your case you know is hate. Sometimes people can be so disgusting...

BTW - sutragirl fought back by buying dozens of similar stickers to the darwin-fish, and covering her car with them. No more magnets either, all stick ons. She has "Sex Toys Rock" and "Cute, but kind of Evil" and "I'm Not Listening" and darwin-fish, buddha-fish, flying spaghetti monster, WWBD? and humanity logo stickers.
