Sep. 27th, 2006 12:20 amWow. I've just watched President Pervez Musharraf's appearance tonight on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. To think that a military dictator of a Third World country that is seriosuly infested with Islamic fundamentalists could not only be more sensible and rational than the democratically elected leader of my own country, but also more clever, urbane, and witty than our president *and* most of the members of our Senate or House of Representatives that I've seen says something amazing. And damning. About someone. Fortunately, I am far too tired to figure out what and about whom. I can only say that, given about 15-20 minutes of banter, I would be far more comfortable voting for him than anyone I've been given the opportunity to vote for since I turned 18.

Hitler was a better man. Just so happens he was a third-phase syphilitic psychopath and utterly insane.
