Bookend this with www.snopes.com and you've got a good combination. Now if I just get people from sending "If your my friend you'll send this back" I'll have the battle won :)
Yah, I hear you. See, I am officially more crazy than you now, because I just booked a ticket - the trip package had sold out. Of course I do have family in Houston who I don't see often so that helps justify it :)
You are def. more crazy than me, tho' I remember the days when I was crazy too. :-) I haven't done any of the longer roadtrips since the cup in 1999, though I was tempted by the US-Mexico City qualifier at Azteca. That's just the sort od thing one should do at least once in a while. I do try and go on at least one of the Meadowlands trips every season, though.
Having family there helps. I combined my trip to the 1999 cup with a visit to friends on Cape Cod (who are also soccer fans).
Mexico! That would have been very neat. I guess New York would be alright, though really one could just take the train up any time. Not that we do. Or at least I don't. But I /could/ and that makes it not quite as exciting.
