a very good day, overall

I called my Dad and wished him a happy birthday; I need to get his package of presents off to him tomorrow.

I had another game of ASL this evening, and it looks as if I may have found a regular, and quite agreeable ASL opponent, a Navy chap named Bob who lives fairly close by and is a very pleasant and easy-going sort of fellow.

I have confirmed all my reservations for my trip. Starting with 2 September, I will be

Saturday and Sunday at the Mabou River Inn in Mabou.
Monday and Tuesday at the Markland Resort in Dingwall.
Wednesday and Thursday at the Ingonish Chalets in Ingonish Beach.
Friday at Louisbourg Heritage House B&B in Louisbourg.
Saturday at the Bras d'Or Lakes Inn in St. Peter.
Sunday back home in Fairfax.

I have the rest of tonight to relax, as we finished our game early. I'm going to go to bed early and go to work early the last two days this week so as to make up a few hours. And I have tomorrow night and Friday to do laundry, pack &c.
