DC v. Celtic: a triumph!
Jul. 12th, 2006 11:09 pmEven for a friendly against a team that hasn't started their season yet, 4-0 has got to be rated one of the best wins we've had against a foreign team, short of the tournament win against Vasco de Gama (which was for mondo international silverware). I have to say, I thought the entire team played brilliantly tonight, even late-game substitutes, who included players I didn't even know were on team. DC looked controlled and confident all the way through, and Celtic looked rusty, unprepared, tired, and basically a bit toothless. A simply magnificent game!

Date: 2006-07-13 03:33 am (UTC)And the news gets better and better; the Crew beat the MidMichigan Bucks tonight in Open Cup play, so we'll play them in Md. 1 August. By then we'll have played them four times already this season by then in league play (we're currently 2-0-1), so we should have a good shot at beating them and going on to the USOC semifinals.
