Watching USMNT play Jamaica in NC (friendly). Missed mostof the game :-( Wasn't paying attention and didn't realise it was tonight. Jamaica seem to be playing hard. It's 1-1; the US are looking good, but not overwhelming. Nice to see the Old Boys (Pope, Meola) still looking strong. Beninho is awarded MOTM by the commentators :-) Yay Ben, though shorn and clean-shaven. Jamaicans all falling down now to waste time...

Got some tough games to come between here and June - Tunisia (they'll fresh from their WC squad selection) are next. Was Meola selected because it would give him his 100th cap, or was it on merit?

? We're playing Morocco, not Tunisia. Not quite in the same class. And I don't really think Venezuela or Latvia are going to be really testing, difficult games. :-)

Meola? On merit, I imagine, but keep in mind this was an MLS-only match. None of the US players were drawn from other leagues, because everyone is currently playing and players weren't going tobe flown back from Europe for a friendly.

We didn't play that poorly, but I was really hoping for a win. Our clean-shaven Caveman is now a goal scoring machine. :p He's trying his very hardest to impress Bruce, but I still don't think he'll make it.
