how often do people die in movies?

I'm wondering whether this is uncommon or just "newsworthy" because so much attention was given to the film.

I managed a movie theater for 3 years. During that time we had one riot, called the police in 11 times to remove someone, had one bomb threat, had to call 911 for medical assistance 3 times, twice the person was removed to the hospital. We had people faint about 4-5 times, each time a friend removed them under their own power. One woman went into labor. No babies born (that happened under the manager before me) and no deaths. No fires. One of the other theaters had someone removed by paramedics because of a heart attack. The person later died. I pulled the tooth out of a little girl who got popcorn stuck under a tooth that was about ready to come out. I called CPS twice because a parent came to collect his children while so drunk he could barely operate the floor, much less his car. That someone dies while at the cinema is hardly news.
