If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

Oooh....this is going to be wonderfully easy and yet overwhelming, as I have a large bag to pick from:

Blue irises - still one of the most romantic moments for me.
Meeting you in Shirlington for the first time and loving talking to you.
Going to the DC United game with you.
Meeting C and M and being simultaneously charmed and overwhelmed.
Sitting in your living room after C and M had gone to the bookstore and putting the privacy to good use.
Going to restaurants to try different cuisines.
Seeing "Bend It Like Beckham". And "De-Lovely".

I mean, it's a long and extensive (and very pleasant" list.

C sent me blue irises at about the same time. Did they plan these things...?

I've never met you, but I do remember all your hugs on Rep.

Eek! The comment still applies, but obviously you've never been on Rep. I fear my friendslist is having too many similar memes today. Eek, eek!

Umm...I remember our bits and pieces of conversations about life as an expat and you wanting to be experiencing life as an expat!

It's hard, I find, to get memories pieced together for people I haven't met rl. It's hard too because I've known you such a short period of time! But ask me again next year and I'm sure I'll find something more profound ;)

I only know you through LJ, but I remember you making some very nice comments in my journal that made me feel good.

I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.

Awww! *pouts* ;)

You've not been on my flist long, so don't feel I know you particularly well yet, but my memory is that you like the rain!! :)

When I first met you, walking nervously into your house on a fall day three years ago. You were standing at the kitchen counter. My first impression was of a big intimidating Viking. I didn't know yet that you were such a softy.

*soft smile* let me see...the look on your face as you opened the throwback Toon shirt on your birthday, that night after the DCU v NUFC game in Fados, or most of all any of the wonderful seders you've hosted.
Good times *raises a glass*

Canoeing across Twin Lakes in that old metal Grumman canoe on a late summer day, both singing Westering Home at the top of our lungs.

I can't decide between the afternoon we spent shaving cheeky slogans into the wildebeests backsides at the San Francisco Zoo, or that heady weekend of sex and florid prose in Prague, me in a rented tuxedo and you in the back half of that horse costume. Ah, memories. Thank you.
