WTF? It's 73*F (23*C). Inside my house. At 22.30 at night.

I thought fall was here; summer seems to have fought it's way back again somehow.

Autumn! Call out your legions! Repel the pretender! Take the throne that is rightfully yours! Reign supreme and crush the helotish minions of summer beneath your chariot wheels!

We are lucky to make 20*c during the day in the UK just now! It's 12* at my house now, pretty chilly! It's not all bad though.

It was so cold the other day I had to put the industrial-strength quilt on the bed and get out a blanket. Now I'm sweltering. Not a happy badger.

Ah, would that one could just trade. redactrice and I have discussed the lucrative and highly necessary (but in practical terms impossible) trade of immigrant brokering. Person A From Country #1 who really wants to live in Country #2 goes to a broker who matches him/her with Person B from Country #2 who really wants to live in Country #1 (increase in complexity until something like the commodities futures market is achieved).

That goes in the "if only" box with the dating service only open to people with security clearances (so it doesn't matter what you mutter in your sleep and you never have to ask awkward questions about your date's citizenship, relatives, etc. :-)

But this isn't hot weather. It's just nice, in-between weather. Not too hot, not too cold... kind of like the preferred porridge of one Miss Goldilocks!

Yeah, whereas to me there's something deeply, deeply wrong about (a) AC in general any place outside of the tropics or the desert and (b) AC in OCTOBER!

But, wait... you like hot weather, but you love AC? *confused* Why not just not have hot weather? :-) Then there woudl be no need for AC. :-)

I detest hot weather. 70degrees is not hot weather by any means. Likewise I detest humidity. The weather we have been having is lovely, occasionally too humid but considering it will sooner be frigid and snowing, I'll have my Indian Summer thank you.

Mid 79s in October is, in my book, hot weather, especially when it's humid as well. Ugh. Snow? Yes, please! :-)
