Early September is a busy time in the Highlands!

Airplane tickets: booked, paid, need to confirm & get seating.
Hire car: Booked, confirmed.

Sunday, Monday lodging: McLay's, Glasgow, booked & confirmed.
Tuesday lodging: Coruisk House, Elgol, Skye, booked & confirmed.
Wednesday lodging: Raasay House (just like Boswell & Johnson!), Raasay, booked & confirmed.
Thursday lodging: Awaiting booking.
Friday lodging: Still inquiring. Booked at Travelodge Glasgow Airport

In addition, I've got a nice boat trip to see seals & Loch Coruisk booked for Wednesday, some sea-kayaking booked for Thursday, and I'm considering a whale watch for Friday morning. :-) That should leave plenty of time for hiking and sightseeing around Skye on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. And the concerts Wednesday and Thursday nights! If I don't go on the whale trip Friday, I might have time to wander up Ben Lomond on my way south--whales or bagging my first munro? A tough choice! As Nursie in Blackadder would say, the best choice is always "both!" :-)

I think so. I know I feel that way often. :)

Personally I'd pick the whales, a munro is always there however a whale is harder to find.

Although Ben Lomond is gorgeous, even if I did fall in a peat bog the last time I climbed it.
