OK, I had to get some bases for the two Warhammer Ancient Battles armies I'm building for an upcoming campaign, so I headed out to the Game Parlor last night.
Since I was there, I finally gave in and bought the Icehouse rules book and two sets of pieces. And, so as to be as cool as the other kids on the block, I got the Warmaster Ancients rule book.
Now, if only I could paint like Jeff Jonas...

Date: 2005-07-27 05:25 pm (UTC)It's fun, and I like that there are so many different games you can play with basically the same pieces; best thing since playing cards. I played some different games a couple of years ago when I was dating a nice person who was part of the whole Looney Labs crowd. She also introduced me to Chrononauts, which I don't have--yet--and Fluxx. *sigh* I miss her--she was cool; I wish she hadn't move back to PA.
I'd need another house in England if I had a games collection like yours! :-)
Yeah, believe me, I'm worrying about finding a place with big enough closets. :-) When Chris and I first lived together, I ahd moved up from Virginia to Boston and had most fo my stuff in storage in Cambridge. Every couple of weeks I would go visit my stuff :-) and exchange the one or two games I had with me for one or two others from the stash. :-)
