I almost didn't read that article because I've seen "golly gee, Eye-Ran allows SEX CHANGES" articles about a dozen times in the last year. I'm so glad I did, that was so much better than anything else I've seen on the subject!

I know at least one Evangelical Christian who has transitioned because she was gay and that was sinful, but being trans and marrying men isn't, so the same attitude isn't unknown here. Though for the most part, US Christian fundies just view transexuality as another form of the creeping "gay agenda."

yes, what I'm "used to," to the extent this is discussed in fundie forums of which I'm aware, is exactly that ignorance and rigidity.
