Dear moron,
Before spending three hours going through every shred of paper you have (NB: finding a few interesting things along the way) trying to find a printed copy of last year's e-filed tax return to get your AGI so as to verify your identity so as to be able to file this year's return, maybe try looking for an electronic copy. On your computer. In the directory marked "financial files" and the subdirectory marked "tax files".

OK, later, the state taxes, but this allows me to file other forms I need to get in. Plus, I get back some of the dosh I've been handing over all year.
