Rupert and I went out to plumb more of the depths of the Northwest Branch Trail. Sadly, my half hour or exercise only resulted in 4.2 miles of riding, and I was sore after that--not my legs but my butt! I need to get back to regular riding before I lose the ability to ride altogether! :-(
I didn't sleep that well, so I'm contemplating a brief nap before dinner and watching the Oscars (or part of them) with my neighbours. On the other hand, there are still many, many little men who need coats and hats painted...
Speaking of little men, I had a very nice evening on Friday after work. Stopped off at a local gamer's house and played two very large games of Wings of War (the *other* WOW ;-) with folks from the Washington DBA Gamers (WADBAG) then, appropriately enough, played a couple of games of DBA. My Alexandrian Imperial [Macedonians] lost to a Burmese army (lots of elephants!) and my pre-feudal Scots got hammered by an army of Anglo-Irish.
Yesterday I worked on little men, my friend Susanne came over for dinner, and we started off with drinks with my neighbours Christy and Kevin. Susanne crashed here as it was rather late when we finished dinner (and part of the Golden Compass), and we had breakfast together this morning before she went off to practice fiddling and play with her doggie. :-)
OK, got to unload a few things from the car, then I think it will be nap time...
