recent happenings #1: bikey goodness

I'm cycling again! Only short outings so far, but Rupert is very glad to be able to do something other than crouch under the steps. There's a short trail that goes from Carroll over to the Long Branch Community Center on Piney Branch; it's about a mile, but if I go back and forth once or twice, that's a nice short bit of exercise for a morning. I need to figure out the easiest way to get tot the Sligo Creek Trail, though, 'cause that's a whole 10 miles of hard trail goodness. Poor Rupe needs a good chain-cleaning, though.

update #2: gamey goodness

While I've still to unpack most of the Humongous Game Collection (a goodly part of which will be going off to new homes, especially the RPGs), I have managed to acquire a few new titles.

I did find a copy of Knizia's Samurai, which I've played several times before and foudn most entertaining.

At the same time I got a copy of Arkham Horror, which has very good reviews and features a topic (the Cthulu mythos) that I know some of my friends will enjoy exploring.

A copy of Ran and the Gergovia module for Caesar: Conquest of Gaul arrived from GMT a week or two ago, and I am expecting a copies of Commands and Colors, Assyrian Wars, and Clash for a Continent to arrive shortly. That should sate me for new games, for a little while at least...
