We got it!!!!

I got a call while I was waiting for Neta's Monday night soccer game to start; the landlord said "I called all your references, and they said lovely things about both of you--even your ex!" (She's very tickled by my being on such good terms with my ex.) "So the apartment is yours!"

Yay! We were very excited. :-) We actually went up and collected the lease (she had left it in our mailbox on the front porch), read it over, and signed it. There were keys, too! So we went upstairs and wandered around, finding new things, exploring nooks and crannies, debating what should go where, and generally enjoying our new place.

Yay!

Revolutionary War miniatures battle AAR

Our battle last Saturday was a large one, with over half of the main force of the Continental Army in 1777 in action attacking a substantial portion of Howe's army under Lord Cornwallis as they marched toward Philadelphia. The British were better trained and disciplined, but considerably less numerous. ( Read more... )
