Yes, Minister?
Mar. 30th, 2007 12:39 pmA full and proper update will be delivered, as Sir Humphrey would say, in due course. But a few highlights.
Things with my dad seem to be very much uncertain. He's been transferred to the hospice facility, but it's not clear to me what his status is. Sometimes he seems to be lucid and able to communicate, other times he's unconscious and just barely breathing. My sister Cornelia is going back down next week, at which point I gather Victoria will go back to Massachusetts. I have very little time I can take off, and I want to save it for when I can do the most good, but I don't want to seem as if I don't care. :-(
Life with Neta is really good. We've been seeing a lot of each other, spending nights back and forth at our respective places, learning about each other, and talking a lot about the future.
gr_c17 and
john_arundel got to meet her Tuesday night and haven't staged an intervention yet, so I guess she made a pretty good impression. :-)
I got my packet of papers (the stuff I had submitted to the Home Office) back from Richard (my immigration advisor) along with my HSMP letter. My plans are still uncertain, but taking shape. Whatever happens, I'm hoping to still come over in June to go sailing with Aileach, and maybe Neta and I will be able to take a trip in August before her school starts.
I signed up for a soccer referee class to start next week. Soon I too will be blind and deaf. :-)
