a weekend with my sweetie

Neta came over Friday after work and we had dinner, talked, and snuggled. It was simply lovely. :-) Saturday we met up with her friends Jenni and Paul and their little daughter Charlotte for lunch, then went walking around Roosevelt Island until darl. We came back here and had dinner, then went back to hers to watch a movie ("About A Boy"). I'm reminded that while making dinner for onself can be a chore, making dinner with and for someone else is really a great pleasure and a fun way to spend time together. Sunday we went out with J&P&C again and their and Neta's friend Mike, to see another St. Patrick's Day parade (in DC) and then have a late lunch. There was a bit of excitement over coordination, as we had both somehow forgotten about the time change, but that still worked out fine.

We're having so much fun learning about each other and finding out what and how each other thinks. We're both so happy to be able to spend time together. We both have worries that are left over from past relationships, but we've been able to work through a lot of those simply because we're madly in love. Other things are going to take time, and we're content with that. We've got plenty of time, and we've agreed not to try to make too many plans about the future for the moment. We're going to see as much of each other as we can day to day, take a weekend soon and go somewhere fun together, and just take our time getting to know all about each other. Life really couldn't be better.

From the BBC "your photos of Scotland" page. I love mountains, and I've not spent as much time amogn the Cuillins of Skye as I would like, yet. One fo the wonderful thigns about mountains is that (barring severe tectonic developments) they will be there whenever you want to see them. There's no hurry.
