May. 24th, 2006 08:11 amBike ride this morning, very pleasant. Five and a half miles on the county trail from the park on Prosperity. Had my first spill onto a hard surface; turning around on the tarmac at the other end of the ride, I slipped and went sideways onto the ground, hitting my left knee, my right ankle (outside of both--how do you do that?), and brusing my palms. Glad I was wearing jeans.
On the other hand, when I got up I saw a redwing blackbird fly through a meadow and rest in a tree over a stream. And I got to ride through some beautiful sun-swept woods, see and hear many birds, ride over a laughing stream (several times, since the trail follows the stream), and see a very pretty woman out running. It's cool and breezy and just a nice day to be alive.
OK, time for shower and breakfast!
