By the way, if anyone is into British football clubs, I highly recommend this site if you're looking for geography of different clubs. It's tremendously cool and very handy.

bike ride: W&OD continued

I started where I left off last time (Hunter Mill Road) and biked out about 4.5 miles and then back. I think the front wheel may be a bit out of true again (it's making a funny sound), but mostly I felt terrifically out of condition and slow. Only after I noticed that most of the cyclists going the other way were rarely pedalling did I realise that it's because, again, I had found a stretch that goes uphill most of the way out! Coming back was very fun. :-) I even hit a new downhill speed--25.5 mph!

I also indulged in a variety of philosophical pondering, but I'll type that up later, as I had no breakfast and no lunch and I am HUNGRY! Time for a quick shower, then FOOD!

EDIT: Food procured and consumed. Now feel sleepy! Not good, as I must now go grill food for several hours before watching a soccer match.

Forgot to mention that I realised today that one reason cycling is so much fun (besides the scenery, the fresh air, the pleasure of the physical motion, and the notion of getting exrcise in an enjoyable way) is that so many of one's fellow cyclists are attractive women! :-) Plump, athletic, or skinny; usually wearing tight shorts or leggings, many of them wearing bandannas. Rwowr! Yet another lovely bonus to an enjoyable pastime. :-)
