quick update
Oct. 17th, 2005 11:01 amThe rest of Saturday went fairly well; tailgate and soccer match (DC at least managed to tie, but a win would have been better, especially against the weakest team in our conference). NUFC lost to Wigan :-(. I got all the troops based up for the game on Sunday.
Sunday I got the table all set and put together a quicksheet for the rules and an OB for the battle. Andy B. and Bryan S. came over and we played through 11-12 turns in 4-5 hours, including time for lunch and note-taking. I'll post a full report later (with a cut for those not interested in wargames :-) Bryan stayed a little longer, and we watched the last ep of Wonderfalls, which he hadn't caught yet on Logo, and an ep of Coupling. The grrls invited me up for a very tasty dinner, and they also made me cookies :-) as a thank you for picking them up after midnight at BWI.
I got to bed before 22.30!!! and slept for a whole 9 hours, occasionaly disturbed by cats. Still managed to be late to work, though. :-(
Edit: and, BTW, sure enough I have a big honking bruise on my stomach from the handlebars jamming into me when the bike insisted on ramming that bridge Saturday morning. It's all good, though.
