I've been meaning to post for a while that a new building went up in the last year on the path I take to work. It's a medical building for a dermatology practice. I'm sure the owner thought it would be cool to put his name on it, but somehow if people are going htere for help with skin problems it seems a poor idea to call it the Rotter Building...
Also, I know there are not enough acronyms for all the things people want to abbreviate. I've known that since I first started web-searching for pages on
ASL and got pages on
ASL or
ASL instead. But today's All Things Considered (or ATC as the call themselves, not to be confused with ATC) had a long article on cognitive behavior therapy and its use in treating depression, especially among teenage girls. Problem is, they kept referring to it as CBT, and that's always meant something very different to me...
