A simply wonderful gaming day! And it really was a whole day of gaming; I think the last people left around 11 or 12, making nearly 12 hours of game-playing. Thank you to everyone who came and made it a fun experience. People brought other games, contributed food and drink, and generally made it an exceelent time. Hugs and thanks to you all!

We hadvatoengland, redactrice, shy_kat, wickedknight, sidhne,sharrainchains, and LJ-less Bryan, Nick, and Jeff, quite a full house! Jeff introduced several of us to Puerto Rico and sharrainchains taught some of us to play Medici. In between, other games played included Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan, Thief of Baghdad, Warhammer 40K (the CCG), Pass the Bomb, foosball...am I missing any?

It was a great pleasure to meet new people and to see folks I haven't seen in a while. My grateful thanks to everyone for having eaten as much of the food and drink as you did; the last thign I wanted was lots of good but evil stuff lurking to tempt me during the week. ;-) The pumpkin cookies are going to work to sweeten my new office mates, and I'm saving the rest of the lasagna and beer for Tuesday night when the guys come over.

To top it all off, I just finished watching the DC United road game, which I TiVoed when it became apparent that games were not going to be done at 7.30, and DC beat NJ on the road for ou second road win of the season! One more home game with them and one with New England, and we should have a place in the playoffs and the Atlantic Cup to put in the case.

I'm going to try to put together another Game Day next month; this was so much fun I'd like to repeat it! :-)

Thanks for hosting such a wonderful party! I had a great time, although I didn't mean to get quite so tipsy. I'll have to bring you another bottle of brandy next time to make up for it.

It was great, too, to finally meet vatoengland. You were right; I did like her.
