I found this trying to find good pictures of Glen Coe. This shows just the east end in one of his Scotland walks, but the photos are all wonderful. I love that it looks just as cold and wet in June there (judging by the gear people are wearing) as it did when redactrice and I were there in November.

Well, as I think I mentioned at the time, if you go there you *must* visit the Clachaig Inn! They have excellent beer in their cellar, and a first-class kitchen, and altogether it's one of the most wonderful places I've stayed. To me, it's like the Last Homely House, as Rivendell was called in The Hobbit. If I ever manage to emigrate, I want to go and work there for a season or two (they're very active in recruiting staff), just for the experience of living in a place like that (the glen, I mean) and working in a place like that (the inn).
