today's MasterCard moment
Aug. 13th, 2004 02:26 pmHalf an hour on the elliptical trainer, with the resistance up to 5: Invigorating (but not exhausting--I need to move the resistance up higher)
A shower with Trader Joe's rosemary mint shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, with a short period of ice-cold water at the end: Refreshing.
Realizing that I hadn't brought and extra pair of briefs or boxers and was going to have to go commando the rest of the day: Disturbing.
Getting back to my desk and realizing I still had five hours of work to go: Depressing
And still no one has found the nap room in our suite; there must be one somewhere...

Date: 2004-08-13 09:09 pm (UTC)He is a very serious fellow, with a very deadpan style of humour. He and I transferred together from a different division and ended up in different offices. He came over to see mine after we had settled in, talked about our new assignements, then said, in a very puzzled way, that he had been looking for the nap room, and he couldn't find it. Surely this new department had one? I looked up quickly and noticed a certain twinkle in his eyes. :-) Since then, we have frequently exchanged observations about how well the nap room seems to have been hidden...

Date: 2004-08-16 02:21 am (UTC)You wear undershorts when you work out? Try lined sports shorts...
Try to elip (or whatever it is that describes using an eliptical) under your toes go numb. That's when your body has had enough.
Conditioner? What's that for? *grin*

Well, I'll have to really push the resistance up then. 'Cause I only have half an hour a day I can do it on a regular basis.

It's for that funny thready stuff some people have on top of their heads, unlike you British football stars ;-)
