rather crazy idea

So, on the spur of the moment, I suggested to my new buddy rubicat that she come visit over Xmas. She has gleefully accepted, so it looks like I'm going to have, most uncharacteristically, company for the holidays. :-)

She very much wants to move down to DC in the new year and wants to learn more about what areas would be good to look for housing, so we can spend part of the time she's here touring around and seeing the sights.

shy_kat and redactrice, any advice on good websites to exploit for sublets, apartments, etc. would be helpful. I know she's looking (to start with) for a flat share sort of arrangement until she gets employed.
