I just finished watching The Grass Is Greener; what a marvelous cast, and what a wonderful play.
Other recent views:
Films:
Mrs Pollifax: Spy: Rather amusing, if dated.
The Guilty: I do enjoy Michael Kitchen in almost anything. This is a bit Shakespearean in its implausible central premise, but I like the ending.
Demob: Two actors I think are a bit under-appreciated in a very nice period piece with two excellent actresses I had not seen before. As with The Grass Is Greener, characters that rise above the conventional romantic drama and show some humanity.
Morning Glory: A fun comedy that continues my pash for Rachel McAdams.
Television:
BTVS: Finished rewatching the entire series. I've seen Season 1 a few too many times now, but Seasons 2 ad 3 had some eps I had never seen. And after many years, Tara and Anya have supplanted Willow (and possibly Oz) as my favourite characters (though that Kennedy--strong, smart, bold, and exceedingly cute...)
Psych: Finished through the next to last season. Still funny, though wearing a bit thin from time to time.
Da Vinci's Inquest: We don't get a lot of Canadian television down here, but I certainly enjoy most of what I see, This is no exception. Avoids the predictable and hackneyed crime show tropes, for the most part.
The Racing Game: Liked it when it came out in the 70s, still like it. Solid, conventional mystery programs with a horseracing background.
OK, further back in the list is last November, and I think I cover those at the time.
Off to make dinner now...
