civic literacy test
Jul. 12th, 2011 11:48 amI was not solidly sure of all my answers, but I missed only one question (and that was one where I had a feeling my response was incorrect).
Intercollegiate Studies Institute test
Sadly, nearly half of all those taking the test when it was first administered failed, and they did so in a fairly uniform manner, without division by any of the usual civic divisions, like conservative v. liberal, young v. old, religious v. not. The wealthy did a little better than the poor, but still failed as a group.
Thanks to
wcg for the link!

Date: 2011-07-12 04:28 pm (UTC)I clicked on the link that lead to a comparison to how well citizens in general did to how well elected politicians did. In general, citizens scored higher than politicians. Now that is really sad.
