azbound, redactrice, and my friends Samantha and Nick, participating in the Screaming Eagles' Inaugural Mike Petke Charity Foggy Bottom Pub Quiz night. There were five rounds of 12 questions; I think the five of us (playing as "Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, Inc." complete with ID badges I'd made up the night before) scored 41 out of that possible 60, and we placed in sixth of a field of 16 or 18 teams. No giveaways for us, but an enjoyable evening and somethign like $700 raised to support Mike Petke's Kick the Violence Foundation and the SEs. Nothing like the $20,000 that a silent auction raised his charity in 2001 when he was with the Metrostars, but we weren't charging $100 a seat either. :-)
