Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] peaceful_fox for this alert:

Wallace and Gromit on this years' UK Xmas stamps.

I adore W&G, and I particularly love that on the stamp where Gromit is mailing Xmas cards, the cards have on them the stamp that shows him mailing his Xmas cards. :-) Very Escheresque.

I watched their latest film, about the bakery, recently, and I was astonished by all the po-faced remarks on Netflix saying it was too risque or two scary for small children. Idiots! It was wonderful!

I love it when stupid people underline how stupid they are. :-D

Absolutely :D

Aww those are nice! I hadn't heard we were getting Wallace and Gromit on our xmas stamps before. They seem a much nicer choice than the usual 'multicultural' quasi-religious stuff the Royal Mail often churn out at Xmas!

clearly none of these people remember the programmes they watched as children! I still can't watch Lassie or the Littlest Hobo without wanting to cry. And as for animal cruelty - have they seen Tom & Jerry???
