winterbadgerI imagine there are other blokes spending their Sunday alternately writing essays on US intelligence failures in Vietnam, getting teary-eyed over episodes of "Anne of Green Gables", and checking in on the day's World Cup matches. But not many, I'll be bound.
My main interest, truth be told, is in meeting one or two of the *women* who might be spending the day that way. :-) I was just looking something up in Richard Holmes's Redcoat (OK, so I'm also dabbling in 18th century history blogs...) And read his acknowledgments, which begin:
