Wow! With this snowstorm we get *wind* too!

I have mixed feelings about this. It will keep accumulations down on roofs (new snow will just blow off with some of these gusts), but it will also be stressing ice-laden trees.

I confess I still love looking out the window and seeing snow, but it's beginning to worry me a little too.

The whole "lack of wind" thing was the oddest bit about the last snow. People kept saying "blizzard" and I look out and it's just this soft slow gentle falling. Now the fact that it kept going was freaky/cool. But this stuff with the wind. Thats what I expect

The street leading into our little subdivision is lined with evergreens that have snapped under the weight of the snow and are either hanging over the road or lying in it. Made for an interesting obstacle course when I went out yesterday. I'm sure there are more trees down today, though I'm not about to try trecking the half mile I'd have to go to see for myself.
