The fellow in the flat next to mine suggested we might want to clear the porch roof, which our front windows open onto. I agreed that it was probably a good idea and popped out there while he got another shovel.

Well, I started to pop out, but it wasn't a couple of inches deep, as I had thought (I figured it was blowing off...). I t was at least 30" deep, what's fallen so far with a little drifting and compacting.
