Monday night wrap-up

winterbadgerI had a quiet, short day at work. Tomorrow is another training session I have to run for a program we're sponsoring, hopefully (but probably not) the last for this iteration.
Played a good WWI miniatures game with some fiends after work. It was a nailbiter coming down to the last turn, and if my buddy Frank didn't have lousy luck, I probably wouldn't have crushed him. ;-)
Not one but two nasty-looking accidents on the outer loop of the Beltway; thank goodness I was coming home on the inner loop.
Neighbours left me cookies! :-) Another neighbour is downstairs yelling at his TV as the Penguins and the Caps fight out their sixth game (tied in overtime).

poliscidiva (the one love affair that has been as difficult and painful to let go of as mine with soccer_fox), I have to say that being introduced to Avenue Q is right there at the top. She introduced me to some really great music, but not only do I know A:Q thanks to her, but I also have the very sweet memory of her repeating some of her favourite lines in her own special way. The mental image of her doing Kate Monster's line "Oh, I'm grading term papers. But it's kindergarten, so they're very short," is a real joy. :-) It's agreat musical, that really summarises some of life's great truths. In comic song lyrics. With puppets. :-)
